Child Safety

16/07/2009

Young children can STRANGLE in the loop of pull cords, chains and tapes and cords that operate window coverings.  They can also wrap cords around their necks.
To avoid strangulation and entanglement, keep cords out of reach of young children.

Move beds, cots and furniture away from window covering cords.

If your blind has a visible inner cord, such as a Venetian, these cords can pull out to form a loop which can STRANGLE a young child.

Persons in charge of children are ultimately responsible for following the safety instructions provided by the manufacturer and to use any safety device supplied.

Please ensure any loose hanging cord loops are out of reach of children.

To receive a free safety tie cleat please call 01698 887777.

Protect Your Children

Use these cord cleats.

Be aware that it is possible for children to strangle in window covering cords.

To reduce the possibility of such an accident, all cords must be kept out of reach of children, including infants.  Cord cleats are an effective way to implement this essential precaution.

When fitting please take into account that a child may stand on furniture in an attempt to reach the cords.

It’s fast, easy and safe.
